No head of design? No clear design strategy to achieve your goals?

Working through a variety of jobs, companies ranging from 2 - 50,000 employees and helping steer them in the right direction. This has enabled me to have a unique perspective and has given me the ability to form a design strategy for companies of all sizes.

A properly executed workshop, targeted interviews, process analysis, or similar are just some of the tools I use to help my clients.

"Working with Arnold is always interesting and research-heavy, but also a lot of fun. I learned a lot from him on how to look at certain things from a different perspective and what to look for in users' needs. His skills in UX research and documentation are pristine, well-formulated, and easy to read through."

What does design strategy entail?

It involves analyzing the goals of a project or company. Understanding the company's "needs" and stakeholder "wants" and developing a vision and a plan of execution.

This can range from wanting to refresh a landing page to creating a team that will hold its own. It's being organized throughout each of the steps and essentially setting up milestones. Setting up expectations and a measure of success.

Milestones keep you agile and appraised of the situation, while expectations and measures of success serve as a standard that has to be met.
