Challenge
Switch the perception of the public and potential clients from retail to wholesale.
Solution
Define the challenge and define the goal. Put in place a landing page to pave the way for the bigger plan.
Process
The first step was a workshop with the stakeholders to define the challenge and the goal for the company. After the goal was set it was getting information about the customers they were after. Heavy-duty market research and competition research were done.
The next step was another workshop to get everyone on the same page about the brand. Due to large traffic to the website, the name stayed the same but the first redesign was visually targeting wholesale level partners.
The last step was showing our customers we did know what they wanted by introducing a smart form for selling/buying and using the industry jargon.
Biggest challenge to overcome
The biggest challenge here was to convince the stakeholders on the necessity to change the visual outlook and to change how the company is represented online.
I found competitors that they admired and pointed out why their colors and branding spoke to the clients they wanted. I also interviewed prospective client before rework and showed that to the stakeholders as well.
All in all it was a great thing because the team worked better because they were all involved in the branding and they all understood what the company wanted to achieve.
